Chandra Grahan Pooja

The puja is started in your name and family name (gotra), so the prayer is done only for you — for calming your mind and giving you peace.
2
First we pray to Ganesh ji
We first pray to Ganesh ji to clear all troubles, and set up the holy kalash so the puja begins the right way.
3
Lord Chandra (the Moon) is welcomed and worshipped
Lord Chandra (the Moon) is called and worshipped with flowers, lamp (deep), dhoop and other simple offerings, just as our shastras teach.
4
Holy mantra chanting
The holy Chandra Beej mantra and Shiva mantra is chanted many times to put full power into your prayer.
5
Havan and final offering
A havan (sacred fire) is done and the last offering (purnahuti) is given to complete the puja and bless your wish.
